Vegan Cookies and Cream Milkshake

A creamy, dreamy, vegan cookies and cream milkshake! Healthy vegan Oreos and coconut whipped cream come together in a decadent treat that’s vegan, naturally sweetened and gluten free.

Happy almost Friday! How’s your week going? It’s been great getting back into our routine at school with my kindergarten nuggets. And the weather has finally been warming up, so no complaints here! This will be the perfect treat for when the days get seriously hot. My healthy vegan Oreos get mixed into a creamy, delicious vegan cookies and cream milkshake! It’s vegan so there’s no real cream involved, we’re once again using coconut cream!

Coconut cream has a special type of healthy fat that helps boost your immune system. Their specific type of fatty acid gives you energy, plus it’s an antioxidant and great for your skin! So no dairy necessary here, just pure, coconutty goodness. BUT since we’re sweetening our milkshake with oreos and stevia, it doesn’t taste like coconut!

Cookies and cream is a classic ice cream flavor, but I wanted to mix it up and make a cookies and cream milkshake instead. I made mine slightly thinner consistency than a typical milkshake, using just almond milk and a little bit of coconut cream, then after blending that I added the sweetened whipped coconut cream I had leftover from the Oreo filling and broke up some Oreos to swirl throughout. Feel free to change it up, though!

Obviously I don’t need to tell you how to make a milkshake, this is hardly even a recipe it’s so simple. If you’ve got all the components, you can make it to your liking – if you want a thicker shake, add some protein powder or a frozen banana – though you’ll probably be able to taste some banana flavor if you go that route. Also you could blend the Oreos right into the shake rather than adding at the end, which would probably be awesome too! I just loved the big bites/texture they bring when adding them after blending.

Perfectly creamy and totally reminded me of cookies and cream flavored anything, but the best part is it doesn’t have any negatives as far as health goes! This vegan cookies and cream milkshake is so legit – make the Oreos and put them to good use! Have a lovely weekend 🙂

Vegan Cookies and Cream Milkshake

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Yield: 1 milkshake


  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp coconut cream
  • Healthy vegan Oreos (in cookies category, or search healthy vegan oreos) and leftover whipped coconut cream
  • Optional - frozen banana or vanilla protein powder, if you want a really thick milkshake


  1. In a blender, mix the almond milk and coconut cream until it's well combined. If you want a thicker shake, add a frozen banana (but you'll be able to detect the banana flavor) or some vanilla protein powder.
  2. Pour into a glass and top with sweetened whipped coconut cream (from Oreo recipe, just coconut cream whipped with stevia)
  3. Top with healthy vegan oreos (these can also be blended in!)
