Vegan Christmas nog is thick, rich, and so creamy! Made with just a few healthy ingredients, it’s the perfect decadent drink for all your fun holiday activities.
One week to go!!!!!
Inevitably every year I get SO hyped for Christmas, but as it gets closer and closer I wish time would slow the heck down because I also don’t want this magical time of year to be over. Though I guess it wouldn’t be magical if it hung around too long, right? Let’s soak up this last week of Christmas-y cheer with vegan Christmas nog!
I don’t think I ever even tried eggnog before I went vegan, and honestly the thought of drinking actual eggs literally makes me want to barf, for how horrible it would be in terms of health, but mostly because the cruelty involved in the egg industry is SO heartbreaking. But the thought of drinking a rich, super creamy VEGAN drink while watching Christmas movies sounds amazingly wonderful. Vegan Christmas nog to the rescue!
Vegan Christmas nog requires a simple mix of a few healthy ingredients, less than a minute of blending, and pouring into a mug. Easy peasy! More time to wrap those last minute presents and watch the Grinch for the twenty seventh time this year. Maybe that last one is just me.
The ingredients here are simple. I start with a new obsession of mine – pea milk! I use unsweetened, and there are several brands, any will work. I like pea milk over almond milk here, because it’s much thicker and creamier. After that you just need some dates for sweetness, a ripe banana for a super thick texture, vanilla, and spices. Blend it up and your vegan Christmas nog is ready!! No animal suffering is required for special, happy, delicious Christmas traditions.
Vegan Christmas nog is most definitely happening in our house on Christmas eve, and I personally cannot wait. I hope you guys love this! It’s so rich, creamy, and comforting. May I suggest enjoying a full (Christmasy) mug cozy on your couch, by a warm fire, while watching your favorite Christmas movie? Bonus points if you add a slice of this gingerbread heaven.
Have a happy, healthy week, friends!
