I’m a stay at home mom + wife that’s super passionate about a healthy + vegan lifestyle.

I went vegan in January 2015 purely with the goal to be healthier, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Soon after I learned about the cruelty and suffering animals endure to end up as food, and I will stay vegan forever for the animals. Just like our family dogs and cats, I genuinely believe that all animals deserve to be treated with love, respect, and compassion. Since I transitioned to a vegan lifestyle I’ve felt better than ever before, and went on to get my certification as a holistic nutritionist. I love to share super simple + healthy recipes, and I’m definitely a sweets girl, so that’s mostly what you’ll find here!

When I adopted a plant-based diet, I started focusing on whole, plant foods that made me feel so satisfied and energized. In addition to simple daily meals, I wanted to make vegan versions of my favorite desserts. I share recipes to satisfy a sweet tooth in a healthier way, based around wholesome vegan ingredients.

I currently live in Columbus, Ohio with my wonderful husband, son, and dog.

I went vegan in January 2015.

In January 2021 our son joined our family! I had a natural labor without medication and it was an incredible experience I’ll never forget. We’re a one and done family, our family is perfectly complete and we couldn’t be happier with our sweet boy.

I met my husband at Ohio State in 2012, in a Spanish class. He’s the most unconditionally supportive partner I could’ve ever asked for, and the BEST dad. 

I love the enneagram – I’m a type 6.

If I could live off of just sweet potatoes, oats, bananas, and grapes, I (happily) would.

I’m OBSESSED with all things Christmas – the music, movies, decorations, and obviously, the sweet treats.

I went to the Ohio State University (go bucks!) for an undergrad and master’s degree in early childhood education, and taught kindergarten for 3 years before transitioning my career from teacher to full-time blogger and then mom, and shortly after got certified as a holistic nutritionist.

Summer is my favorite season, I’m a hot weather girl all the way – but fall definitely has a soft spot in my heart because I love all the holiday anticipation.

Fitness is a huge passion of mine, I love weight training + running. Joe and I ran a marathon together in 2016, and it was one of the coolest accomplishments of my life, so happy we did it together!
